What is a treatment?
A treatment is a one to two page summary of your story. Producers often don’t have time to read through your entire ninety page script (as brilliant as it may be!) and prefer these smaller, bite-sized reads. A treatment sells someone on your story, while establishing the tone of the piece.
Treatments are also written by directors to pitch shorter projects, such as marketing campaigns or music videos.
